While they may not have been wearing Celtic Irish t-shirts at the time, the Celts of Europe were nonetheless a proud and noble race of man who lived and prospered in the area for many centuries before being pushed back again and again by the incursion of the Roman Empire. The Romans were an unstoppable military machine, while the Celts were little more than hunter-gatherer tribes. That doesn’t mean that their culture was any less rich and worthy of remembering, though.

While the Celtic people were spread all throughout the greater part of Europe, the last remnants of the Celtic language are only spoken in the areas of Ireland and Western Britain now. The way that the Irish people are portrayed in media is absolutely ridiculous. You either have silly cartoon characters who are gross misrepresentations, or you have violent thugs who are hopeless drunks. That’s not what the Irish are about.
